Engineering, Procurement and Construction
Agreements
Our firm’s unique combination of legal and engineering
knowledge and experience means that our attorneys not only
understand the legal issues inherent in engineering,
procurement and construction agreements, but also
understand the technical nature of the project involved,
and are therefore able to properly allocate risk in these
agreements. We excel at creating the risk allocation that
our clients seek and consolidating financial and regulatory
realities into coherent and efficient agreements.
At times, due to the regulatory realities, agreements are
not practical. Our attorneys are experienced with
anticipating such expenses in advance, saving our clients
time and money.
Real Property Transactions and Rights of
Way
Our attorneys represent public utility companies in land
use issues ranging from drafting, negotiating, and
recording leases, easements, access agreements, and deeds,
to negotiating disputes over zoning and land use laws. We
also have experience in addressing the conflicts that arise
between state public utility commission regulations and
local government laws.
Water Rights
We help clients document and defend their existing water
rights and seek and obtain new ones. We understand complex
hydrological modeling, statistical methods and their
biases, and how to build the best arguments for defending
one’s water interests.
Complex Settlements
Our attorneys can provide experienced representation in
negotiating complex legal settlements for FERC license
proceedings, rate case proceedings, eminent domain
proceedings, and commercial disputes.
Limited Liability Corporation (LLC)
Formation
We are experienced in helping clients navigate the
requirements of LLC formation, including creating and
filing a valid business name, preparing and filing articles
of formation, and creating a member operating agreement.
